This training program aims to develop artistic practices and promote their presence in the lives of an increasingly large number of people.
It is based on the idea of accessibility of the artistic experience, as a right and a value.
Contemporary arts relate different types of knowledge – they allow experimentation, establish bridges between thinking and doing, promoting processes and enabling results. They create spaces for questioning the world and facilitate new meanings in people’s lives.
Dance, as a privileged territory for the production of discourses through the body and about the body, provides new realities between space and time, expands possibilities of relationship, gives added value to the processes of communication, participation, being individual and belonging. to the group.
The practice of dance and its transmission are seen, in the CDC, as an element of valorization in the formation and of greater knowledge for each person, as an aesthetic, artistic and also experiential process.
Through the knowledge and experience provided by the CDC, it is intended that its participants re-equate their artistic practices in order to create new contents and articulations in the pedagogical transmission, in the intensification and enrichment of their working methods and even in the discovery of new perspectives on the realities of art and artistic education. It is not intended to arrive at a finished transmission structure but, through the promotion of more knowledge and experience, to expand the possibilities of action for each one.
The main artistic references of the CDC are inscribed in the universe of contemporary dance, in its forms, methods and questionings – the universe heir to the transformations and artistic ruptures that took place in the 20th century. XX and the beginning of the century. XXI (notably in the West, but not exclusively confined thereto).
