Forum is a meeting platform for professionals and the public. It develops pedagogical projects, seminars, artistic residencies, informal presentations, workshops, and regular classes directed to professional and amateur audiences, adults, and youth.
During its first decade, Forum Dança contributed greatly to the development, international recognition, and consolidation of the New Portuguese Dance, through the production and international dissemination of performances, professional and artistic training, and research, and by publishing and documentation initiatives.

It has also promoted dissemination and training activities with the amateur public (adults and young), especially in seminars, workshops, and regular classes.
