Creative Dance 26/27

From 3 to 6 years old

With Marta Ramos

Wednesday | 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm

In these classes, through a playful approach, we will freely explore movement, promoting body awareness, coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and self-confidence. Throughout the sessions, sharing, listening, and cooperation will also be encouraged.
This school year’s guiding theme will be ‘Body Drawings’. What drawings can the body create in space? How do you draw without marking the paper? Am I a square or a circle? How is the body represented by this artist? What if my body were a very, very big drawing?…
An invitation to imagination, the expression of emotions, and the discovery of the body’s endless possibilities of movement.
Note: classes start on September 16th.

From 7 to 12 years old

With Marta Ramos

Wednesday | 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

These contemporary dance classes for children are designed as a laboratory of movement, creativity, and discovery. Each session includes a joint warm-up, guided improvisations, floor work, body weight exploration exercises, simple movement sequences, and a final relaxation moment.
The main goal is to develop body awareness, creating a space where each child can explore and affirm the authenticity of their own movement. Throughout the classes, skills such as listening, sharing, and cooperation will also be promoted, using elements like voice, rhythm, and play as creative challenges.
Together, we will imagine new ways of inhabiting the body, exploring its limits, and discovering its endless possibilities.

Note: Classes start on September 16.

for Children

School year 2023/2024

Quarta-Feira | 18h30-19h30

The aim is to involve the student in an exploration that stimulates their technical and creative potential, giving them the intrinsic pleasure of dancing.

The freedom of contemporary dance, making use of the body, movement, gesture, voice, words, etc., makes it possible to develop interpretation, sensitivity and emotion through movement.

Through various exercises, improvisation, team spirit and stage presence, students discover and become aware of their bodies and their expressiveness.

It’s a space for collective creation!

The experience of dance plays a fundamental role in the development of any child, stimulating imagination, the ability to manipulate materials and organize them into different forms, the capacity for abstraction, as well as self-esteem and relationships with others.

In this class, in a very playful way, we will discover the movements of our bodies through exercises, games and simple proposals.

We will explore shapes, rhythms, dynamics, levels, objects, etc., contributing to a greater perception of our own body, space/time and the world around us.
